It’s a long one today. These are the future 25-man rosters for the team through 2013, and only have players in the farm system, so that is why there are no free agent acquisitions on the teams. For the key, players underlined are leaving free agents after the year, and players that are italicized are new to the team, or rookies.

Overall Assessment: I think the Phillies have a few rough years ahead f them, should they follow this path. They won’t, of course, so that’s a positive. It seems that 2009 through 2011 are the most rocky, and things start to settle out by 2012, with a powerhouse youthful team developing in 2013. I especially like the pitching coming up within the next six years. Between ’09 and ’13, I have a rookie sliding in to the back end of the rotation every year. Also noticed is that older guys in the bullpen are being replaced by young guys that, although they haven’t (as of yet) cracked the Top 10, are decent prospects. I feel this team as a contender in 2008, rejuvenating themselves (not unlike the Angels in recent years) through 2012 while remaining competitive, and then contending again in 2013. Look out for that outfield in that last year. 3 speed demons patrolling CBP means quiker and low-scoring games. Though, realistically, probably only one will likely make it (ala the Moran/Roberson/Bourn trio from a few years ago).
